The Nationals Journal is reporting that Elijah Dukes is once again, in all likelihood, headed back to the DL due to a calf injury he sustained in Saturday night’s game against Cincinnati.

Unconfirmed reports say JimBo also went on the Sports Reporters radio show on 980 and said that it will be likely a four week DL stint.

Now, I know Dmitri Young was supposed to be Dukes’ mentor here in DC, but Dukes doesn’t have to follow exactly in his footsteps. It’s cool he looks up to the big, old teddy bear, but really he doesn’t have to mirror everything from assault charges to DL visits.

This stinks. JimBo picked another fine caliber player. This kid has all the potential in the world, but can’t stay healthy. What is with the Nats and these types of players?

Are the Nats like some giant light bulb that attracts nothing by moths who use walkers?
