The Nats might have had their seven game winning streak snapped by the Philadelphia Phillies tonight 4-0, but screw it, the Phillies still suck especially if they pull bush league, juvenile moves like they did on Jesus Flores tonight.

The good news is, it looks like Flores just has a sprang and no fractures. He has a possibility of making it back before the end of the season, but at this juncture, there isn’t much point. Wil Nieves will be taking up catching duties as well as Luke Montz being called up to help out as well. At least that is what the reliable NFA says.

Jesus Flores was injured during an acrobatic dive at his legs by Chase “Douchebag” Utley in the third inning. Utley blew it, knew he was going to be tagged out, but tried to end someone’s career before his own pathetic one anyways. Typical Philly play.

I guess when you come from a city that smells of toxic raw sewage and it’s citizens eat their own young, that is the norm. Is it any wonder they have mutants like Utley, Ryan Howard, and Jimmy Rollins running around up there?

Sad to see the streak come to an end and it is sad to see Flores out, but tomorrow is another day. This past week has really shown the potential of the Nats Youth Movement. It’s going to be interesting to see if they can rebound from the cheap play of Philadelphia and return to playing real baseball with other real teams.

To close, the Phillies suck. I say like that like everyone in the known universe doesn’t already know that.
